What do you take your stand on?

“[The Resurrection of Christ] Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,” - 1 Corinthians 15:1, 3-4

I think it was a country song that had the words, "you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything." Paul says that the most important thing to take a stand on is Christ death, burial and resurrection. Paul is saying the one thing that I will not waver from, the one thing that is central and key to my life, the one thing that I am living for, and the one thing that I willing to die for is that Christ lived and died for my sin, was dead and buried and was raised on the third day. This is the gospel. This is the good news. Sin does not win. Jesus does. Death does not win. Jesus does. New life. Life everlasting. Jesus wins for me because he loves me. All he ask is that I love him in return.

Love today.

In Christ's love and mine,

Amen! We must die to self, so that we may live for CHRIST! CHRIST died for sins once for all, the righteous and the unrighteous, to bring us to GOD. JESUS was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit! (1 Peter 3:18)

We must live for CHRIST because HE died for us! What better way to show our love, than to give HIM our life in obediance!

Rejoice In HIS Blessings Today!
