Lenten Reflection #40: The Son Is Risen
Past, present and future walk into a bar...it was tense.
The tense matters. It expresses when something occurs and gives us time reference.
Christ is Risen!
Is denotes a present tense. Today, the Son is Risen. We don't celebrate and remember that he did rise or that he will rise. Christ is Risen.
There is no need to be anxious, worry or tense, Christ is Risen indeed!
Today is the day to worship. Followers of Jesus will worship today because hope is not lost. Death does not win. Sin does not have the last word.
Christ is risen!
This is our present reality!
Love today, for by so doing others will know that you are a follower of the risen Lord.
In Christ's love and mine,
Doug
