You are Special
God has created each of us with unique personalities, temperments, gifts, talents, and quirks. Like snowflakes there are no two of us that are alike. It is important, at times, to remember that God has created each of us as individuals and God has created each of us the way we are because that is the way that God desires us to be. You are you and that what God loves about you. God created you that way. You are Special to God.
The cool thing is that God also calls all of us unique and different individuals to unite together as one. To be one community. To live together, to work together, to laugh together, to bring about the Kingdom of God-- together.
We are to be one. One in Christ. This does not mean that we all think the same, act the same, look the same, have the same personalities, temperments, and gifts. That would be no fun at all. And it would not reflect the love of God or the community that we are called to be. It means that I am who God created me to be and you are who God created you to be and we live together in Christ, in Christian love and community, becoming more of who God created us to be as individuals and as community.
You are special and God created you that way for a purpose. Together we can become more fully who God created each of us to be.
This helps me to remember that I am not suppose to "change people." Change is God's buisness. I am to love and live with people and be the person that God wants me to be and created me to be. We don't have to become someone else. We are to be who we are and allow Christ to make the people that we are more like him.
You are special! God created you! God loves you for your unique characteristics and qualities and he will use you to build his kingdom here on earth.
